Last week, Tao Climate co-founders Felix and Gary spent a game-changing week at Startupbootcamp Amsterdam, immersing themselves in the fast-paced world of climate tech innovation, impact investment, and pitch-perfect storytelling.
From a canalside apartment tucked just off Amsterdam’s fragrant and fascinating Haarlemmerstraat, we rode the M51 metro south to Startupbootcamp HQ each morning – caffeine-fuelled, purpose-driven, and fired up for the next round of hands-on workshops.
World-Class Startup Training, Dutch Style
The Startupbootcamp programme was intense, inspiring, and incredibly valuable. We deep-dived into:
- Unstoppable founder confidence.
- Building legal structures that scale.
- Impact storytelling that resonates.
- Investor readiness and funding strategy.
We weren’t just building a company. We were building momentum.
Every day ended with bigger ideas, tighter plans, and deeper conviction in Tao Climate’s mission: to help the world keep flying freely, without sacrificing the planet.
The XPO: Tao Climate Hits the Stage
The highlight of the week? No question – it was Thursday’s XPO Showcase at the beautiful Tobacco Theatre in central Amsterdam.
We joined 30 cutting-edge startups to deliver one-minute pitches to an electric audience of 400+ investors, mentors, and innovation leaders. The energy was palpable. The stakes were high. And Tao Climate delivered.

After the pitches, panel discussions, and applause came the networking – and we met several impact investors eager to join our mission and support the next stage of our growth.

It was a timely reminder that hemp isn’t just part of Tao Climate’s carbon removal solution – it’s a cornerstone of sustainable innovation. Seeing hemp’s global story on display, in a city so open to bold ideas, gave us fresh energy and reinforced our belief that hemp can help transform the future of aviation, housing, and climate action.
